The Pineland Horror: the Story of the Jersey Devil by Gary Botsch

Reviewed by Diane Phillips

This story is based loosely on the old folklore story I used to hear as a child about the Leeds family. The Leeds family lived in the 1700s. The mother gave birth to 13 children and a devil’s curse was put on the 13th child. The thirteenth child became deformed and resembled a goat-like human with wings and was spotted through the decades in the pine barrens of New Jersey. The book creates a story line from the old folklore history which was interesting and a good read.

How many stars does the book deserve?: ā˜†ā˜†ā˜†
