From Elaine Pasquali

Title/Author Murder 101 Faye Kellerman

This is a Peter Decker/Rina Lazarus mystery. Peter, now retired from the LAPD, lives in upstate New York. Peter is bored with the sleepy town police force he joined…that is until there is a theft of Tiffany glass panels from the local cemetery followed, by two grizzly murders. Peter’s partner, Tyler McAdams, a wealthy Harvard graduate, is not interested in police work until this case drops into their laps. Rina lends a hand and the three of them sleuth their way to a solution. As always with Kellerman’s Decker novels, this one is thoroughly engrossing. How many stars does the book deserve? ☆☆☆
Title/Author Kate Remembered A. Scott Berg

Tell us about your book (50-100 words, please) Although the material is biographical, the book is more than a biography. The author became one of Ms. Hepburn’s closest friends and recalls his conversations and friendship with her. She was a Bryn Mawr graduate and an accomplished actress who did it all: movies, television and theater (including Shakespeare.) Ms. Hepburn never backed away from a challenge, but knew how to pick her battles. She had numerous love affairs before her almost thirty year romance with Spencer Tracey, whom she credited with teaching her how to love. An amazing woman, an amazing life. This book did such a good job of fleshing out Katharine Hepburn that I felt a sense of loss when she died at the age of 96. A fascinating book. How many stars does the book deserve? ☆☆☆☆
