Big Magic/Elizabeth Gilbert
Elizabeth Gilbert wrote Eat, Pray, Love which was a NY Times best seller. In this book she speaks about inspiration and the creative process as just what it is, and it should not be judged. She said we should find our passion and just “go with it”. She said she does not think about “success”, and never did and still does not. According to her when we do this, we will be more fulfilled in life and happy. She knew in her teenage years she would be a writer no matter what happened, and she received rejection after rejection. She said we should treat our passion “like an affair…dress up for it…and get excited about it,” and bring our best selves to it just for the joy we experience from whatever it is we want to spend our lives doing…I enjoyed the book.

Regis Philbin –Who Wants to be Me? / with Bill Zehme

If you are a Regis Philbin fan you must read this book — it is a compilation of off-camera experiences — one more hysterical than the previous — there were numerous times I laughed so hard I cried — a very refreshing, funny read!

Title/Author
First Comes Love / Emily Giffin

This book follows the life of two sisters who tragically lost their brother in a car accident when they were in their teens. It tells of their life’s ups and downs and how it all relates back to the underlying emotions that were never dealt with following his death. It is a easy reading page turner that keeps your intrigued throughout. It is similar to her other book as in the fact that is it an easy read with a romantic twist to it.
