Summer Reading Club review

From Claire Spencer

Title/Author A Memory of Violets

20 year old Tilly Harper leaves her home in the Lake District of England for work as a housemother at Mr. Shaw’s Home for Watercress and Flower Girls. The home is an working home for orphaned and crippled girls. Tilly’s life at home was not a happy one but through many twists an turns in her story there is a happy ending. Enjoyed the book very much and would like to do some research into that era of poor young Irish girls selling flowers in areas of London.
