Summer Reading Club Review: Plain Murder

From Elaine Pasquali

Title: Plain Murder

Author: Emma Miller

Fifteen years ago, Rachel Mast left her Old Order Amish life. She is now regarded by her kinfolk as an “Englisher.” Because she made this break before she was baptized, she is not shunned, When Rachel’s Uncle Aaron is arrested for murder, Rachel sets out to clear his namer. Complicating Rachel’s search is her uncle’s refusal to answer any questions or to accept legal counsel, trusting that God will provide for him. A fast reading and interesting book. The incorporation of Amish ways adds to the book’s interest.
