Memoir of the Sunday Brunch

From Elaine Pasquali
Title:  Memoir of the Sunday Brunch
Author:  Julia Pandl
This is the author’s first book and it’s a winner.  I sat in Starbucks drinking a latte and laughing out loud.  A few days later I was crying.  As the youngest of nine siblings, she was alternately raised by her older sibs and raised herself. All the children helped their dad, George, at his restaurant for Sunday brunch and George was a tough task master. Pandl’s recounting of her youth is hillarious.  But she is also capable of pathos and as her parents age and die, I wept along with her.  I definitely recommend this book and look forward to Pandl’s future endeavors.
