 The Help
A great don’t put down story about 2 black maids in the 60’s in Jackson, Miss. agreeing to put their life on the line telling a new writer just out of Ole Miss (a girl who was raised by one maid also residing in the community) about their life raising white children and what it’s like to be in a white family’s home. They are trying to start their own movement getting blacks and whites to co-exist in a world where black maids can only use certain bathrooms or dishes, etc.
